DiagnostiCare Inc. Medical Advisory Committee
In order to maintain an ongoing dialogue with leaders in the medical community DC DiagnostiCare Inc. has set up a Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) to serve as an experienced medical group for the purpose of reviewing, prioritizing and making specific recommendations on the practice and future development of radiology and other imaging services within the Company.

The Medical Advisory Committee consists of at least three members from across Canada who are renowned in the field of radiology and/or nuclear medicine. The majority of members are physicians who are not employees of the Company. Selection for membership is made entirely on the advice of the MAC regarding potential members, which is crucial to its success. At present the MAC consists of Dr. Jacqueline Ford, Dr. David Gilday, Dr. David Hynes – Chairman, Dr. Paul Newell, and Dr. Giles Stevenson.

Dr. Jacqueline Ford is a graduate of the Charing Cross Hospital in England, has been an assistant Professor at University Hospital in London and currently operates her own clinic in Dundas, Ontario.

Dr. David Gilday is presently Head of Radiology at the Hospital for Sick Children and a Professor at the University of Toronto.

Dr. David Hynes was previously a Professor at the University of Toronto and at McMaster University Medical Centre.

Dr. Paul Newell is a graduate of Queen's University and the University of Toronto.  The former Chairman of the Department of Nuclear Medicine at St. Joseph's Hospital in Peterborough, he is now Medical Director of DiagnostiCare's Windsor area clinics.

Dr. Giles Stevenson is a graduate of Oxford University and Guy's Hospital. As a faculty member at McMaster University from 1976 to 1998, he served as Department Chairman from 1987 to 1997. He also served as Chair of the Radiology Nucleus Committee-Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, 1980 to 1986, as well as President of the Society of Gastrointestinal Radiologists - 1997 to 1998.

Dr. David A. Stringer, Vice-Chairman and Chief Medical Officer of DiagnostiCare, is a non-voting observer at meetings of this group to facilitate exchange of information with the Company.

There will be at least two meeting per year, approximately six months apart, at a mutually convenient time and place in Canada. Further meetings will be at the discretion of the group in conjunction with DC DiagnostiCare Inc.

At meetings held in Edmonton and Toronto the ground rules for the practice of medicine within the Company were set. Matters discussed and agreed upon included a Physicians’ Code of Practice, a DiagnostiCare Operations and Policy and Procedure Manual, a Personnel Policy Manual and a Health and Safety Manual. In addition, it was agreed that for more specific policies, the Standards of the Canadian Association of Radiologists should be followed. In the event that no Canadian Association of Radiologist Standard is available, then the American College of Radiologists Standard will be used. These manuals will be available at all clinic sites. All recommendations of the MAC have been endorsed by the subsequent Company Board Meeting.

Future meetings of the MAC will be held to address issues including the continuous medical education for staff, and any other matters pertaining to the provision of professional, clinical and technical services.

DC DiagnostiCare Inc. is grateful for the input from such a highly respected group of Physicians, which enables the company to provide even higher quality imaging services.
